Jacobson Transportation obtained the highest safety rating available, Satisfactory, in both the United States and Canada. Few carriers obtain duel certifications and we are proud of our efforts and of our Team. We are also CMA certified with many Hazardous Materials shippers throughout the United States.

Jacobson Transportation received the 2000 Iowa Motor Truck Association Grand Trophy Safety Award for all carriers. We salute our professional drivers as Our Drivers Make the Difference.

After meeting rigorous qualification standards, new drivers attend a 2-day paid orientation. During this process, drivers become hazardous materials certified and become familiar with Jacobson Transportation policies, rules and procedures, as well as certified in the federal hours of service rules and regulations.

We reward our safe drivers with a monetary performance bonus each year. We conduct quarterly Safety Meetings with guest speakers for training sessions in which all attendees receive a Certificate of Training. We also have a Driver Referral program that many of our drivers have found to be both monetarily and professionally satisfying.

Most importantly, Jacobson Transportation exercises a liberal open door policy and keeps the chain of communication open to our driver fleet. Our drivers are our Ambassadors and we value our drivers' opinions and recommendations to improve our safety and quality customer service.

We provide top-of-the-line, modern conventional power units equipped with satellite Qual-Comm units and maintain a quality maintenance program of all equipment.

We provide a Driver Friendly Safety Department, which is always ready to assist our drivers and to answer questions and provide guidance to make our drivers' jobs easier.
