Carrier Services/Brokerage
In today's marketplace, the occasional need for additional equipment resources is a reality, even for a company as large as Jacobson. During these times, the Carrier Services division of Jacobson Transportation utilizes the equipment and personnel of a number of smaller carriers to cover overflow loads in peak seasons and deliveries to out-of-the-way locations. These carriers have proven their ability to provide the same high level of service you expect from Jacobson. We stand by their qualifications and service response one hundred percent.
Jacobson Carrier Services is a value-added branch of the Jacobson Companies. Our goal is to provide services that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and carriers with "Do It Right the First Time" performance standards and a "Can Do" attitude.
To become a contract carrier for Jacobson Transportation, you need to provide us with the following information:
- Copy of Federal Operating Authority showing the carrier's MC number and company legal name.
- Copy of current insurance certificate showing minimum of $1,000,000 of liability insurance coverage and $100,000 of cargo insurance.
- Copy of carrier's W-9 form.
- A signed copy of Jacobson Carrier Services Contract or signed Brokerage Contract.
- A completed copy of Jacobson Carrier Services carrier profile.
Accounts Payable Procedures for Carriers
To ensure proper payment, please mail all invoices, along with a copy of original Bill of Lading and copy of Jacobson Carrier Services rate confirmation, to:
